It's been a busy and quiet week all at the same time. I'm taking two courses for my day job, so I've been pretty well buried under the books all week. But it's good - I enjoy learning, and the magic we call the Internet means I can do it anytime from anywhere, which is so great. Amazing, really.
But today I'm taking a break from studying. I got up early this morning, when it was still dark. The daylight hours are noticeably fewer now, and will get fewer still - winter is almost here. I love getting up this early on weekends. It's so peaceful to sit at my kitchen window with my tea, watching the sky gradually become brighter and listening to the sounds of my neighbourhood waking up. It's a nice "ahhhh…" moment before starting the day.
Today I have an Etsy order to package and make ready for shipping. This one's going to Amsterdam!
I'm going to weave in the ends of the scarf I just finished.
And I'm starting this project again. I discovered quite a ways in that I had missed a stitch, which resulted in the whole thing getting narrower. So I frogged it to the missing stitch, then decided to change the design a bit and frogged some more. That's one of the things I love about crochet - it's so easy to fix a mistake or change your mind!
I hope you're having a happy Sunday too.
